Sunar Investment

Turkey’s Rising Power in Agri-Based Industry

Founded entirely with Turkish capital, Sunar Investment is one of Turkey’s leading corporate groups in the agri-based industry and food sectors, with nearly half a century of experience, over 1,300 employees, and a wide product range. Today, it exports to more than 100 countries across 6 continents under its own brands.

From a Deep-Rooted Past to a Global Vision

The foundations of Sunar Yatirim were laid in the early 1970s through the bold and visionary investments of its founder, Haci Nuri Comu, in the fields of cotton ginning and paddy milling. Although the first factory established in 1974 could not continue its operations due to changes in cotton farming in Cukurova, the Sunar Un ve Yem company, founded in Osmaniye in 1976, began its activities as the first and most senior member of the group.

Today, the companies operating under the umbrella of Sunar Yatirim are:

  • Sunar Flour and Feed (1976) – Flour and animal feed production
  • Sunar Mısır (1985) – Starch and starch-based products
  • Elita Gıda (2006) – Vegetable oil production and bottling
  • NCS (2006) – Fresh fruit production and export
  • Sunar Pazarlama (2010) – Foreign trade operations
  • Sunar NP (2014) – Turkey’s first TUV-certified biodegradable TPS and polymer producer
  • Sunar Lidas

Sunar Investment stands out in the agri-based industry with its integrated structure. Thanks to mutually complementary production processes, the group companies maximize both efficiency and competitiveness. Sunar Investment is the only integrated structure in Turkey capable of processing corn oil in-house through all stages—from the field to the table—packaging it and offering it to the market.

Through their modern production infrastructure and extensive know-how, the group companies aim to become one of the largest agri-based industrial groups in Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa. In line with this goal, great importance is placed on R&D; continuous studies are carried out for new product development, process improvement, and the sustainability of quality standards.

Furthermore, information technologies and digitalization are regarded as a strategic area to enhance the efficiency of production processes. Thanks to an infrastructure that evolves through continuous investments, their competitiveness in global markets increases day by day.

Sunar Misir holds a significant share in Turkey’s starch and glucose exports and is a leader in the production of low-calorie sweeteners such as Sorbitol and Maltitol. Elita Gida, on the other hand, maintains a pioneering position in Turkey’s corn oil exports.

Sunar NP offers sustainable solutions to the industry with biodegradable starch-based polymers developed through its eco-friendly production approach.

Sunar Investment is an industrial powerhouse operating with a focus on innovation and sustainability, contributing to Turkey’s growing economy. Competing on a global scale with the principle of “high quality, stability, and service,” Sunar Investment continues to shape the future of the food and agri-based industry.
